After training at Chethams Music school and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester Louise Winter began her professional career at Glyndebourne Festival Opera. 

Her international solo career began in Canada and Frankfurt, but she has enjoyed success singing principal roles with ENO, Garsington, Scottish Opera Opera North and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden.

Louise also enjoys singing on the concert platform, and has performed for the Proms, at the Wigmore Hall and recorded for the BBC,
There is a hyperion recording of Frank Bridge songs with Louise and Roger Vignoles.

Since Louise taught for over a decade at RNCM her recent passion and focus has brought her nearer home to create the Ashburnham English Song Awards, a competition to support young singers and pianists with Dame Felicity Lott as their president.

Future projects include performing recitals with Will Hancox and Louise is also a trustee and mentor for the Charity SingersResound, an organisation set up to help and support singers.
