Joyfully it is Jackdaws 30th birthday in June 2023, marking a whole generation of music making since we were officially opened by our founding Patron, Dame Joan Sutherland.

Spread the Word About the Bird!

We think that Jackdaws is amazing and represents a special opportunity for musicians of all ages and abilities to access and learn from the greatest inspirational, professional musicians, helping to maintain, protect and preserve interest, teaching methodology and style/genre for future generations.

We want to tell everyone about the wonderful stuff that goes on at Jackdaws, from our weekend courses for beginners to seasoned performers, to our education programme for children that reaches up to 3,000 children and young people every year introducing them to Opera, Chamber Music and great works of the standard repertoire so that they too can feel a sense of ownership and belonging from this wonderful music that everyone has a right to take an active part in.

As part of a season-long campaign to let people know about Jackdaws we will be gathering promotion materials during courses and it would be a great help if you agreed to participate in photos and maybe some short videos so everyone can see how wonderful our courses are.

We hope you will help us to “Spread the word about the Bird!” so that future generations can also benefit. We will be asking youto share our good news stories and course opportunities at Jackdaws, so keep an eye out for Spread The Word call outs!
