Jonathan Peter Kenny is from Liverpool. Conducting appearances include Flavio, Xerxes, Agrippina, Ulysses’ Homecoming, Ottone, Iphigénie en Tauride, Giulio Cesare, St John Passion, Mass in B minor, St Matthew Passion, Idomeneo, Amadigi di Gaula (ETO), Giulio Cesare, Rinaldo, Radamisto, Alcina, Serse (Lucca), The Duchess of Malfi (Royal and Derngate), Stabat Mater (Dorothy Cross/OTC), Orfeo, Dido (RCM), Anxiety Fanfare (Kings Place, Royal Festival Hall), Memorial (Barbican, Adelaide Festival, Brisbane Festival) and most recently Graun Cleopatra e Cesare in Netherlands. Digital work includes St. John Passion, Mille regretz, Jonas, Io tacerò (ETO at Home).

He has performed for the Royal Opera Covent Garden, English National Opera, Glyndebourne Festival, Salzburg Festival, Royal Opera Copenhagen, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Scottish Opera, Glimmerglass NY, at the BBC Proms, and with AAM, OAE, EBS, RLPO, RSNO, Ulster Orchestra, Gabrieli Consort, with Gardiner, Hickox, Fischer, Parrott, Mortensen, Bolton, van Immerseel, Glover and Bicket.

Recordings include: St Matthew Passion (Miller/Goodwin), Agrippina (Gardiner), Buxtehude Cantatas (van Immerseel) and Puccini Requiem (Fontaine). His edition of Handel Tamerlano has been produced in Dublin, Melbourne, Lisbon, and London.  Upcoming digital work includes Il pianto di Maria (Ferrandini).
