Praised as “fervid musician” who performs on “the highest musical and technical level”, Anna Stegmann is a passionate performer and teacher of early and contemporary recorder music. She is regularly invited to teach workshops and masterclasses throughout Europe and North America, both focussing on solo performance and chamber music repertoire. Since 2014 she teaches a recorder class alongside Pamela Thorby at the Royal Academy of Music.
With her own chamber music groups, Ensemble Odyssee, The Royal Wind Music and trio KAZE, as well as soloist, she has toured throughout Europe, North America and Asia. With these Ensembles and as a soloist she has recorded CD’s on labels such as Glossa, Pan Classics, Lindoro and Mieroprint. A native of Germany, she lives and works in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where she has obtained her Masters degree with highest honors.
