Year of Brass

2018 is Jackdaws Year of Brass with the Onyx Brass Quintet!

Year of Brass sees the Onyx Brass Quintet visit schools across Somerset to give performances and take workshops with pupils throughout February and March 2018. It is the sixth installment of Jackdaws’ Award-winning education project “The Year of…” and culminates in a Grand Finale Performance, on Tuesday 20 March 2018, at Frome’s Cheese & Grain.

At the 2017 Music Teacher Awards for Excellence, “The Year of…” project from Jackdaws was voted the Best Classical Music Education Initiative, something we are very proud of. Read the full report here.
