Audrey Hyland appointed as Jackdaws new Vice President

We are delighted that extraordinary musician, Audrey Hyland, has agreed to become our new Vice President.

She joins Vice Presidents, Sarah Walker CBE and Roger Vignoles, and our President Dame Sarah Connolly as an ambassador for the organisation and advocate for all of the work we do to Bring Music To Life, by enabling creative expression for all through our core values of Access – Inspiration – Inclusion.

Audrey has already been a great supporter of our work, leading courses and giving expert musical direction to one of our award winning projects, OperaPLUS.

Collecting the award for Best Classical Music Education Initiative 2016

Audrey said:

I am thrilled to be able to support this important organisation who do such exciting and vital work in making classical music accessible to everyone from age 5 to age 90.

I particularly love the fact that everything Jackdaws does involves active participation in music making and gives us all the chance to learn from each other.
