Following the triumphant finales of The Year of The String Quartet with the Carducci Quartet and The Year of Guitar with Eden Stell Guitar Duo, which engaged over 6000 children and young people in Somerset in high quality music making, Jackdaws is delighted to present the third instalment in this three year project – The Year of Percussion.

Each school will receive a visit from inspirational percussionist Joby Burgess and receive a whole school workshop/performance as well as a workshop for a group of players from the school (Players of percussion and other instruments can be involved – min of 10, max of 30 from each school). The players will then take part in the celebrated Finale Concert playing alongside Joby in the Cheese & Grain in Frome.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for everyone; something they will remember forever.
Workshops will take place in March 2015 and the finale performance will take place on 10 June 2015 in the renowned Cheese & Grain, Frome.
