The Song Story production team of the past several years reassembles in Summer 2018 and will work with 5 SEND schools across Somerset to create a unique theatrical performance of Holst’s The Planets.
Composer William Carslake, Violinist Flora Curzon and Soprano Saffron van Zwanenberg work with individual schools to create their own contributions to the final show.
Final performance will be on Wednesday 28 June.

Written by 1914 and 1916, Gustav Holst’s orchestral Suite, The Planets, opus 32, has captivated audiences for over 100 years. Except the Earth, Holst wrote one movement for each of the known planets at that time. The resulting seven-movement suite is a kaleidoscope of colours and atmospheres, which each planet personified and depicted through his music.
