Staged Opera Scenes
Audrey Hyland and Saffron van Zwanenberg
Thursday 7 – Sunday 10 July 2016 Three Day Course
Level: All
Fee: £300
Course No. 3190
Ensemble Course
During this extended weekend course, renowned RAM professor Audrey Hyland will guide you through the vocal preparation of your scene whilst experienced opera director, Saffron van Zwanenberg, will direct your performance and give tips in stagecraft and interpreting character, with the two coming together in your staged scene at the end of the course.
Each participant should offer one solo piece and 3 suggestions of roles they would like to tackle. They will then work on their solo and one ensemble piece, which will be one of their suggested roles IF POSSIBLE. (To make sure everyone has the opportunity to perform in an ensemble it may not be possible to allocate roles based on these suggestions, but every effort will be made, and if not then mutually agreeable roles will be chosen).
