Summer String Ensemble

with Simon Kodurand

A course aimed at amateur string players who will relish the opportunity to work at a variety of music, both chamber music and for a small string ensemble.

In an atmosphere of support and encouragement advice will be given on instrumental technique and on how best to gain more confidence in being part of an ensemble. Some music will be sent out in advance so that participants can prepare, but there may also be a certain amount of sight-reading involved; music will be of a suitable standard.

As a soloist and director Simon has guest-led ensembles throughout the UK, recorded numerous commercial soundtracks for film and television, and performed as recitalist and concerto soloist at a number of leading venues including St. John’s Smith Square, The Purcell Room, and St. George’s, Bristol, among others

A £70 deposit is required to secure your place on this course. The balance of fees, including accommodation, is due 3 weeks before the course start date.
