Singing on Screen
with Michael Rouse
NEW TUTOR, NEW COURSE, Jack(in)Daws Course
Sunday 20 September 2020
In the last few months new skill sets have had to be rapidly acquired by all musicians across a range of technologies in order to continue making music. Singing to/on screen has become a new normal for many singers, in lessons, assessments, auditions and performances, but the challenges of how to communicate with charisma in this medium are unfamiliar to most.
Though things will of course gradually return to something we are more familiar with, this on-screen presence and self taping aspect of singing is likely to become a permanent feature because it is efficient and practical.
Spend a day working with award winning film director and audition “self tape” expert Michael Rouse who will talk you through some of the practical solutions, from setting up your gear and capturing your performance, through to editing it all together and exporting a video that represents what you truly are capable of. Michael will help you find ways to maximise the tech you have and how to keep telling the stories you want to, keeping you in the Frame!
This course will take place on Zoom. You will require your own instrument, webcam, microphone and internet connection to participate. We will receive guidance on participating, alternative timetables and assistance in getting set up if required.
The full course fee is required to secure your place on this course.
