Anne Bourne believes our voice tells us much about who we are, not only a means of communication, but also as a vehicle of profound expression and healing. Throughout her life, the relationship between her own voice and emotional-self have been intertwined; she found that the more she released emotionally, the more her voice became free, and the closer she came to finding, and being, her true self. Anne’s voice became her guide.
As a professional opera singer, Anne gained a wealth of wonderful experiences and a deep connection with Spirit through the music she sang. She now works with sound in various ways; teaching singing with a unique holistic approach and coaching singers to connect with their true voice, running meditation classes using the art of vocal toning, working with clients who may have speech problems or would like to release emotional issues through the power of their own voice, and providing sound-healing therapy.
She still loves to sing and perform, especially now that those extraordinary moments of truly being in the present are more frequent because of her deeper connection with the sound.
Anne holds a BMus (University of Huddersfield), a Post-Diploma in Vocal Studies and a Post-Graduate from the Opera Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Going beyond this, Anne studied as a Sound Healing Practitioner with Paul Benham at the College of Sound Healing.
