Pamela Thorby

Pamela Thorby is one of the world's leading recorder players. Known for her stylish virtuosity and ability to assimilate many different styles of music, Pamela has worked as a featured soloist with many acclaimed jazz, folk, pop and classical artists. She is the principal recorder player for the English Concert and was the driving force behind the much-loved Palladian Ensemble until 2007, achieving international success with over 1000 performances around the world and 10 highly praised albums for LINN Records. Her 4th LINN solo album will be released in 2010 entitled 'The Nightingale and the Butterfly'. Her recently released 'Ammonite' CD (Pamela's folk/jazz-inspired own compositions) is introducing a whole new audience to the recorder. She is a GSMD Visiting Professor.
