Teresa Cahill

Teresa Cahill is one of Britain’s leading sopranos. Her career began with important roles at Glyndebourne, Covent Garden and at La Scala. In concert performances she has worked with Solti, Chailly, Gielen, del Mar, Rozhdestvensky and Tennstedt; and Shostakovich. Her recording debut was in Figaro with Otto Klemperer. She is a professor at Trinity College of Music, London and has been on the juries of most of the major British competitions, including the Kathleen Ferrier, the Royal Overseas League, the Great Elm Vocal Awards, the international competition at s’Hertogenbosch – where she also gave masterclasses – and the National Mozart competition of which she is the Artistic Adviser.
