Why Away Days?
Organisations have discovered the benefits of their staff teams getting together outside their working environment. Achievements and opportunities can be reviewed; problems can be explored and resolved; leadership and team building skills can be developed.
What is needed?
The success of such days relies very much on the surroundings. The participants need to be on their own in calm surroundings with suitable facilities. Catering should be of a high, but not indulgent, quality. The organisation?s boardroom is impossible because of interruptions; hotels can attract criticism from other staff who view the Away Day as an excuse for a 'day off'; dedicated conference venues can be noisy and busy with other groups.
Why Jackdaws?
The Coach House at Jackdaws offers just what is needed. It is situated in an exquisite valley on the banks of a small river and surrounded by gardens and woods. Enthusiasm and motivation are increased by the peaceful and rural charm of Jackdaws.
Where is Jackdaws?
The Coach House at Jackdaws is situated in the Somerset village of Great Elm which is only 3 miles from Frome, 12 miles from Bath and 20 miles from Bristol.
When available?
The facilities are normally available from Monday to Thursday each week. At the weekends the Jackdaws Music Education Trust runs highly successful short music courses for adults and children.
Facilities offered
One large room which will take approx twenty people. The room is equipped with a flip chart and writing materials, power sockets and dvd/video player. This large airy room can be darkened, or kept light and airy in a tranquil relaxed environment.
Catering
Prices start at £5.00 for teas/coffees and cake although a full range of services can be supplied to suit your needs.
Rates
The Coach House can be hired for half days or full days with prices starting at £100.
