David Campbell directs a weekend of playing for clarinettists of Grade VI and above - good sight reading is essential. Activities will include clarinet choir, small ensemble work, a masterclass, and if requested, a session on various aspects of technique. Time permitting, private lessons with David can also be arranged (at extra cost).

Pianist, David Price, will be available to enable players to practice pieces with accompaniment; he will also play for the masterclass. An informal concert will conclude the course at 3 p.m. on the Sunday afternoon, to which friends will be most welcome.

David Campbell is known internationally as a clarinet soloist, chamber musician and recitalist, who plays throughout the world - in total his performances have taken him to over 40 countries. Equally at home with both the standard repertoire and contemporary music, David Campbell has had many works written for him; his discography is wide ranging from Martinu to Maxwell Davies to Mozart. His two most recent solo records are of Brahms Sonatas and French repertoire.
