The preliminary rounds will be held in London in early October (dates tbc on acceptance of application) 
and the finals will take place in the Wigmore Hall, London on Tuesday 19th October 2010 starting at 1 pm.
Applications to be made by 1st October

      ·       The competition is open to singers between twenty-two and thirty years of age inclusive.

 ·       All material must be sung from memory. 

·       Competitors must provide a copy of the music for the jury. 

·       Each candidate will be allowed a maximum of fifteen minutes.

REPERTOIRE 

 A separate repertoire from the same sources will be required for the finals.

Application form to be completed and returned with entry fee, copy of birth certificate, c.v., 
and two letters of recommendation  by 1st October, 2010

The non-refundable entry fee is £20.

ACCOMPANIST

Competitors may provide their own accompanist or make use of the official accompanist.  In the latter case, music must be supplied with the entry form, together with a fee of £20 (which covers one rehearsal and the performance(s).  This should be sent in addition to the £20 entry fee. 

 Cheques should be made payable to: Jackdaws Educational Trust 

The jury’s decision will be final.  The jury reserves the right not to make an award if it considers the standard to be unsatisfactory. 

  Funding is beginning to come in thanks to the generosity of private people;  we are, however , still looking for help.
